The Pocumtuck Valley Memorial Association is a grass roots organization dependent on the support of its community.  Your generous gift of any size makes a difference.

CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS:  Old Deerfield Children's Museum & Family Program at the Indian House Memorial. Hands-on activities on themes including Native Americans, textiles, toys & games, gardens, & “women’s work.”  For more information go to Children’s Museum

TEACHERS’ CENTER:  Offering professional development programs & resources to support the teaching of American History using our award winning web sites.

LIBRARY:  The collections of PVMA Library represent the life and thought of Deerfield and surrounding areas from the close of the 17th century to the 20th. Manuscript letters, diaries, and account books constitute a unique social, cultural., and economic record. The library's books, many of which were owned locally, include titles on local history, travel, theology, literature, biography, agriculture, and domestic economy.
FESTIVALS:  13th Annual Eastern European Festival Celebration of Polish, Ukrainian and other Eastern European cultures with ethnic food, dancing, music, books & crafts. October 1.
THEATRE:  Women In Arms by M.E. Burke Kennedy, original music by Rosemary Caine. Tells the story through word, song, movement of great women of Irish mythology. July 20-23 & 28-30 in Reid Theatre at Deerfield Academy. Tx: 413.774.7476, ext. 10
PUBLISHING:  The Allen Sisters: Pictorial Photographers 1885-1920 presents the exquisite photographs of Frances and Mary Allen once considered “the foremost women photographers in America.” For a complete selection of our titles go to our Publications page
ART:  Memorial Hall Museum opens for the season May 1 - Oct. 31, 11-5 daily: Exhibits of fine art, antiques, decorative
arts, Native American artifacts and history.
CRAFT FAIRS:  The Old Deerfield Summer Craft Fair is held on the lawn of Memorial Hall on June 24 and 25.

EXHIBITIONS:  Memorial to enslaved African-
Americans of Deerfield and an exhibit of Eastern European Farmers: George Bluh Photographs will be installed in May 2006.  See our Exhibitions page.
OLD TOWN HALL:  The Acropolis Project is a Save America’s Treasures Project. This campus of buildings is being restored to be home for theatre, music, children and teachers’ programs, and The Museum of American Democracy.
